Who I am
While studying at university, I worked part-time for the editorial department of Reuters for over three years. This is what got me interested in writing. And before I became a lawyer, I completed a short contract role with The Christchurch Press.
My Tone of Voice training came by practicing family law, where I wrote a lot of affidavit evidence for clients. But as the internet gained popularity, the law firms I worked for wanted me to help with marketing. This led me to write or contribute to law-related newspaper articles and blog posts. And for a little while, I was a contributing author of a couple of legal texts for LexisNexis.
